TECHNOLOGY

During its almost 50 years in fertilizer manufacturing, Ilsa has acquired and developed exclusive knowledge and technical competence regarding both crop nutrition and manufacturing industrial processes.

In recent years ILSA has tested and optimized every step of two exclusive industrial processes, FCH® (Fully Controlled Hydrolysis) and FCEH® (Fully Controlled Enzymatic Hydrolysis).

ILSA's solid fertilizers contain AGROGEL®, hydrolyzed gelatin for agronomic use, made from proteins of different sizes and molecular weights in controlled proportions. In the soil, AGROGEL® releases nitrogen naturally and gradually.

ILSA also produces liquid and water-soluble fertilizers, for fertigation and liquid fertilization, with a high content of L-amino acids, which are biologically compatible and directly involved in the metabolism of plant cells. As liquid fertilizers, they act as bio-stimulants and nutrient carriers.

Finally, ILSA produces fertilizer pellets, which have a high nitrogen content and a slow, natural release.

FCH®: This trademark indicates a product containing solid Agrogel® (hydrolyzed gelatin for agronomic use) manufactured by Ilsa's exclusive industrial process.

FCEH®: This trademark indicates a product contains fluid Agrogel® (fluid hydrolyzed gelatin for agronomic use) obtained by enzymatic hydrolysis of colalgen using a stereo selective pool of enzymes able to break the protein chains in known sites. The process happens in a fully controlled environment and it is an exclusive technology of Ilsa.

Agrogel® is a solid hydrolyzed and stabilized gelatin, containing organic nitrogen, processed by Ilsa FCH®. In the soil it is decomposed by the natural activity of micro-organisms, so that its nitrogen content is progressively and fully made available for plant uptake when the soil temperature is higher than 8-10°C (47-50°F). Agrogel® has bio-stimulant and binding properties.
