Accredia Renews ILSA Laboratory Accreditation, Reinforcing Commitment to Transparency and Sustainability

A rare certification for an in-house laboratory that underscores the company’s dedication to reliable analysis and environmental responsibility

Arzignano (VI), Italy – ILSA’s internal laboratory has received the renewal of its accreditation from Accredia, the sole national body appointed by the Italian government to certify the competence, impartiality and reliability of testing and calibration laboratories. This is a highly prestigious recognition, rarely granted to corporate laboratories, as Accredia accreditation is typically reserved for third-party service providers. However, since 2015, ILSA has chosen to pursue this path voluntarily in order to guarantee maximum transparency and scientific credibility in its product development.

The accreditation allows the ILSA laboratory to issue test reports bearing the Accredia mark for key parameters such as total nitrogen, total carbon, ammoniacal nitrogen and nitric nitrogen. These values are essential for assessing the performance and efficacy of the company’s fertilizers and biostimulants.

“At ILSA, rigorous scientific methodology is the foundation of sustainable crop nutrition. The renewal of this accreditation offers farmers an objective guarantee that they can rely on products certified to the highest international standards,” says Alfonso Iannone, Head of the ILSA Laboratory. ILSA’s long-standing commitment to quality and sustainability is once again reflected in the strict standards the company applies to verify and transparently communicate the effectiveness of its products, contributing actively to the advancement of responsible and environmentally conscious agriculture.

This accreditation adds to a robust set of certifications that demonstrate ILSA’s ongoing commitment to quality, transparency, and environmental stewardship. These include certifications for quality management (UNI EN ISO 9001:2015), environmental management (UNI EN ISO 14001:2015) and energy management (UNI EN ISO 50001:2011). Since 2014, ILSA has also held the ICQRF Quality Mark, issued by Certiquality through Assofertilizzanti, which confirms the compliance of its fertilizers with regulatory and labeling standards, as well as adherence to various international organic agriculture certifications.

These credentials reinforce ILSA’s identity as a company with circular economy principles at its core, enhancing the value of by-products from other industries, and a belief in science as a driver of progress toward more sustainable, productive and environmentally responsible agriculture.
